Banshee Pipes for Cross Country
#1
I know I've asked what were the best Hi-Rev pipes before and the majority and most supported have been the Toomey's. I was thinking since most everyone out there with a Banshee rides in the dunes and I ride mainly woods and seeing some pics from magz of the GNCC tracks resembles the areas I ride in. My question is that since I ride mainly on a track I made and some trails, open fields and logging roads and roads on mountain property are Toomey's still a good choice. I recently read the new 4 Wheel Atv Action mag and the article on the pikes peak runners of Duncan Racing and it got me thinking. They listed all of the mods they had done to there machines and I looked through many of my older magz to try and see if I could find a list of mods for the GNCC runners and I couldn't. If anyone has some good info on this or could let me know where I could find a list of mods that the GNCC riders have I would really appreciate it.

Kim Kuhnle's Banshee has a motofast 2into1 pipe, Motofast 2into1 carb set up with a 40mm lectron carb. Pro Design cool head with 16cc domes. Axis suspension Roll design A arms. Other than that the bike is bone stock. No porting No welded crank nothing. I had the same set up, for Gncc racing it was a pretty good set up but remember GNCC racing is very tight, you dont really build up any kind of speed 50 mph at best the trails are just way to tight. This is not the set up for fire roads or any open fast riding.

I have Paul-Turner Mid Range pipes and love them. I too ride woods and long open dirt roads. These pipes are great, they are the only pipe that I know of for the Banshee that increase power from bottom to top. They give a great bottom end, a screaming midrange and a top end that just keeps pulling. I guarantee you will not be disappointed withthese pipes. The motofast takes away from the topend, the Turners add to it, while still giving a great bottom and midrange.

I would consider getting LRD pipes also. You can adjust them for bottom, mid, or top end. Its like having 3 pipes in one. They probably are the best pipes to get if your riding areas vary greatly.
Also LRD is a well proven company with racers and rec riders. You can't go wrong with them.
