I have a 1999 Yamaha Warrior that I am selling. I like my Warrior and are planning on getting a 2000 Warrior Red and White, but I was wondering would a Banshee be better for like riding in lanes and small fields and a small track or should I stick with the Warrior.

Your talking 2 totally diferent machines.
I own a Banshee and a warrior...I love them both... If you want a powerful settup..with alot of room for upgrades go with the banshee...It works best in the wide open, but can be great for MX if set up. The warrior is totally more forgiving, easier to ride..But not set up for large jumps or drag strips. It depends totally on how you want to ride..and how much maintenance you enjoy doing...the banshee will drain your check book alot faster than the warrior will
good luck

Why dont you get a quad that's right in the middle, like the 400EX, It handles better than a Banshee, but not as fast, And alot faster than a Warrior would ever be with all the mods in the world! I cant believe the Warrior is still in production.

Dude, don't be dissin the warrior. It is still the top selling trail bike. I own a 99 and my buddy owns a 94, and neither one of us wouldn't swap you for the world. We ride the river alot. Last time I was down there there were four guys on 400 ex and 1 on a 300 ex. Every one of them flooded their machines and one guy on a 400 flooded his three times. When we hit the trails, I tore them up! their bikes just wouldn't handle like mine. The warrior is an awsome all around bike.

What is wrong with your 99 why are you selling it. I don't think there is any difference between the two 99 and 00 model.
I just figure if you are going to get something new get something different.

HoundDog, you are right. 400EXs DO NOT handle like Warriors... they handle MUCH, MUCH BETTER!

When I got my 1999 Yamaha Warrior I wanted and Blue and White one but no one had one. And I really wanted a Warrior so I had to settle with Yellow and Black (Which dont get me wrong is an awesome color). But now that I have seen the Red and White Warrior for 2000 I really want that color. My 1999 Warrior is in awesome shape it has been garage kept and I maintain it very well.

Ummm.....I'm sure you can get some after market plastic for your Warrior. It seems like a waste of money to get a whole new quad when you could just replace the plastic, don't ya think?? Just a thought.
