I have to agree with Kodiak Army & RAPTORYFM660r, 17% is outrageous! Save your money and pay cash or find better financing. Refusing to let the Credit Card companies bend us over will not bring down our economy.
I bought a DS650 a couple of months ago and got a pretty good rate, 6.9%, from Bombardier. With $3,000 down, my payments are $68+change p/mo. I'd buy a nice used bike before I'd pay 17%!

I know that 17% sounds high, but I got 3.9% until march and I will just about have it paid off by then. I will probably still owe about 1500 and will have that paid off by June. So it is really a pretty good deal for me. If you are going to carry the debt for awhile, I would agree that another finance source would be better.

Hammer,
We used to have a Capital One Visa...it had a yearly membership fee, and the rate was 17%. I think it all depends on what specials are going on when you apply. I haven't found anything better than the Citibank Mastercard. We've had one of them for over a year, and the rate is 11 something. It's went down, never went up. The main thing I look at is the APR...national rate (or whatever it is) plus 5.99% for Citibank. Most cards add 9.99% or more.

Any chance you could finance it through a local bank (just wondering)? The dealer where I bought mine offered to get me a bank loan because I complained about the high interest rate on the Yamaha program. They got a bank loan for me which was an 11.99% rate for two years. I paid it off after about 7 months then financed the next atv through the same bank with no questions asked. I did put money down on each of them. Maybe that's at least worth looking into.

I didnt put any money down and went through nat. city bank and borrowed $4500, for my 400, At 48 months its $110, I carry full coverage insurance on mine and it sets me back $90 a year through Nationwide, Give yourself a couple days and check out your bank or credit union, There interest is a bout half of what the dealer cards carry, BTW loans for used quads carry a high rate, If you are going to borrow new is the way to go
