I was curious before I put the Dynojet kit in my Raptor I was running 170/175 mains, stock needle 4th clip, and fuel screw 3 turns. When I put the dynojet kit in I installed it how it said but put in the DJ150/DJ148 mains. I'm running with no air lid if your wondering. My Raptor runs great now but I was wondering how you can go back down to such a lean mainjet and still have it run good? Before I had my air lid off I was running 155/160 perfactaly and when I took my lid off it ran VERY lean! I mean jumping from 175 down to 150 is a pretty big step when considering it ran good with a 155/160 WITH an air lid before that! How does that work I don't understand at all!?

Full Big Gun Race....5000 ft...but I ride anywhere from 3000 to 12000. I removed most of the lid, just have about 1 inch of the frame left.

Can't remember what jets I used.....I think I used 145/142 it was way too rich at 9000ft and just a little rich at 5000ft. When I get time I'm going to the next lowest set. Then when I ride a 3000ft I'm going to have to rejet.

The stock jets seemed to be more forgiving.

Why didn't you just take the whole lid off?

The dynojet main jet sizes are not the same as the stock Mikuni jet sizes. If I recall right they're a liitle bigger so in turn you would run a smaaler main jet.
