Hey I live just outside of Louisville, Elk Creek area (near Taylorsville). We ride out by Fort Knox mostly. I would love to go riding with a Raptor, Looking to buy a new Quad this winter, not sure what one yet. I mostly ride with another warrior and a Honda 300. We should all get together for a ride sometime, as long as you dont mind us slower guys on warriors

HYPER660R,
tell me about ur shocks and a-arms, does houser make the long travel a-arms in +3+1?? i seen their ad a while back and was hoping they did but i didnt even see that they had the long travel a-arms for raptors at all. and those r the 19" shocks? like on lobo and laeger front ends? are they honda or raptor shocks? the honda shocks are normally longer than yamaha. do u have a conversion on ur rear shock? why did u need a lowering kit if they are zero-preload shocks? did they not go low enough?
and how do u like the elkas compared to other shocks? and finally how much were ur a-arms and front and rear shocks.
sorry for all the questions but u are the person i need to ask
oh, and GREAT LOOKING BIKE!!

The a-arms are the frist set made for the raptor they are +2 +1/2forward
with standard front wheels I'm 50" wide up front and 50" in the rear with a durablue axle, its widered than the LoneStar. The shocks are 19 3/8" long
The same size as the 250rs and 400ex long travel shocks. The reason I have the durablue lowering kits is so that when I go drag racing I sit about 3" of the ground with my frame. As of right now my frame sits 8" off the ground. There is 16" to 14" the travel up front and the rear has 14" of travel.Yes I love my Elka shocks,my set up is awesome the way it rides.
I rode a stock raptor about 2 weeks ago and it felt like a log wagon to what I'm use to.Price wise your looking at$1700 for the a-arms and shock package and thats fully adjustable shocks.Retail is $1900.Its wild to see my raptor run down some trails or a mx track the way the front end never leaves the ground yet the quad stays level. The only bad thing is that its alittle wide for tight trails but a chainsaw takes care of that. One more thing I can do donuts on the asphalt but it eats my holeshots up bad.

I have Douglas wheels in the front and there not offset. If these a-arms were +3 then i would be 52"wide in the front.I think that would be alittle
to much.ccspyy I own and run The Quad Shop.I also run a rear Elka shock because it has more travel and more shim valving in it than a stock rapor
even after converting over.

I hope the tranny can hold up to that extra torque and horsepower. Other than that, your Raptor's gonna be one bad b*#ch!
