I do not know many people from L.A.
but it would seem to me that these Swamp
riders, to whom swamping is a Religion
would know a thing or 2 about it(as I am
positive you have Swamp knowledge too)
and would pick what they felt was the
best ATV for the job.

There is some Polaris's in the pictures,
but they(the pictures) did show Grizzly's
to be the majority, and I did not see any
Sportsman.

I never say anything is junk, every ATV has it's merits!

YAM8 and Timberwolf,Speaking of reliability and not seeing to many other manufactures products,I read that over 60% of the quads at this yrs Utah Rocky Mountain Jamboree were Polaris.[over 800 quads at the event]But I also beleive that Polaris had something to do with sponsering part of the event to.Polaris claims that they loaned quads for anybody who had mechancal problems and could no longer ride their own.I also read that most of the breakdowns were from COMPETITVE brands.Speaking of being at the bottom of the reliability list?-----BILL

You know why us Louisianaians are stuck on Honda and Yamaha, because that's basically all they sell around here. Between where I live (Port Allen if anyone is familiar with the state) and Baton Rouge, there is only one Polaris Dealer. And it's not too local either. But, there are way more Honda and Yamaha dealers around. If you ask me, it's not by choice that we pick one of the two, it's because there's not much to choose from. Because I was a FORMER Honda and Yamaha owner, I am speaking for the rest of the state. I am now a proud Polaris owner that's well suited for my needs.

I guess that should say it all, but I fear
not, after all if one ATV was so superior to
the other it makes sense that one who rides
in such situations, would hunt high and low
to find that model.

I did mention that there were Polaris Quads
present in the pictures(just more Grizz and
no Sportsman).

How would they know that the Sportsman is better if they never see one except for at the dealer. There arn't any places to rent quads around here either. And I dought that many have the know about this site and read magazines.

I ride with one Honda 450es owner that says that He would love to get a Polaris but he would never because of there reliabilty record. He has seen the performance of a Sportsman 500 with Vampires in the mud.

Due to someones, superior insight.

I must recant my observations.

After all what is a group picture(of swamp riders accompained by a "How to Ride Mud Article) the real evidence is in everyone
else's heresay.

How dare me to use pictorial evidence, to
defend a Pro-Yamaha view on a Yamaha Thread.

So sorry
