I just installed the Pro Design intake kit on my '02 Warrior.
There's an inner and outer filter (yellow and red) that comes in the kit.
I oiled the yellow (inner) filter, but should I also oil the red (outer) filter?
I do run in the sand a fair bit so I would want maximum protection.

Thanks.

yes oil both filters. I do that on my raptor and every time I change the filter the inner one is never dirty. I always ride in sandy conditions and wanted the maximum protection.

I don't even use the red filter. If you look at the yellow filter you will notice that it's a 2 stage filter by itself. With the red filter cover you will now have a 3 stage filter. I did not like how the filter rested against the walls and lid of the airbox with the red filter cover on it. I cut out all the junk in the airbox lid and sanded it smooth and discarded the red filter cover and now clean the filter after every long ride. You can order a prefilter from outerwears that will not be near as thick and should fit neatly in the airbox.
