Ready to trade in the Wolverine

Our '01 kodiak plastic is supple enuf that rolling it has caused nothing more than scratches. The peppy response and nimble feel make it fun. The pushbutton 4wd makes it ez to throw her into 2wd and kick the back end out in corners for additional excitement. And zero mechanical probs is a definate bonus, even in desert heat.

4wheelingfool, I'm from Stephenville.
MNRAP, it's really hard to say what I think of the Kodiak compared to the Wolverine, as I know the Wolverine sooo well, and I've only ridden the Kodiak for a few minutes. I do think that the 2/4wd thing will be fun though, and I do think that the low range will be a God-send.
jscyoung, I looked at the Kawi. The only things I don't like are teh shifter, the MacPherson struts, and the very stupid racks. The price is good though; about the same as a Kodiak, only with a 2 yr warrenty included.
rdnwarrior, I think the Big Bear would be a good choice for the work that I do, but not so great for play. And I want to try an auto and liquid cooled.
Pechmial, I think you're right. It would have plenty of power, but I think the performance would be disappointing. The only thing that really stops me though, is the weight. I don't think I could go from having the lightest 4x4 available to one that is 180lbs heavier!

thenewfirebullet you need a machine like the Wolverine but with high/low range, 2wd/4wd setup and liquid cooled with maybe 25inch tires. That might make the perfect machine. I think it would be my perfect machine but the standard Wolverine will do the trick for me. I don't do any heavy hauling and mainly trial ride and climb silt beds.
Hope you get a new one soon. The suspense is killing me on what you are going to get. It is a very hard decision to make since it is very hard to really test a quad out in the riding conditions that you will be using it for, unlike a car you can get a good test ride to see if it is for you.
It has taken me 2 machines plus the new Wolverine to finally get the machine I wanted and fits me. I have had the 01 Trail Boss and then a 01 Sportsman 400. Both were great but just not what I was lloking for but now with the Wolverine I have finally found one for me and should make me happy for years to come as I plan to keep this one for some time. Can't afford to keep buying new ones like this. Gets too expensive.
