How to prevent this from happening again?

Bobby,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Had to do a little work. Rocky ridge was great but the guy I went riding his son wrecked his blaster pretty bad, but he was okay. The thing that really bothers me about rocky ridge and fun wheeler park are the amount of people that are not wearing helmets. I know it was only your wrist, but I have taken care of a child at the hospital that was not wearing a helmet and the handlebars jerked sideways and the end went into his mouth and broke his jaw and gave him a traumatic brain injury. He will never be a normal child again and it is sad. I guess it is true what they say about an ounce of prevention. The elbow is not getting a whole lot better but I am kind of impatient. I makes me work on the suzuki more trying to get it ready for hunting season. We will get together around thanksgiving and hopefully go ride somewhere.

Sorry to hear about your injury, but I am not sure a steering stabilizer would help directly . I have one, and what it really does is reduce fatigue, and to soften the side to side hits. I flattened one of my front wheels/rims doing something similar last year, and luckily did not get hurt (before my steering damper and shocks). What really helps me are the high performance shocks, they really soak up the hits. I work in a hospital so I am familiar with some of these injuries, something that might help is too stay loose on the handlebars: I dont mean a loose grip, just try not to have a vulcan death grip-locked arms if you see it coming. Its the same thing that keeps drunk drivers alive after a major collision. If your muscles are relaxed they can absorb some of the impact passing less of it onto your bones and joints-->reducing the injury. dont mean to preach, just hate to see any of us get hurt
