Sport vs Utility BS
#1
I am tired of hearing if you want a sport machine get ther prairie, if you want a utility machine get the Grizz 660 or sportsman. Are people implying that the grizz and sportsmans make better utility machines? I hope not because nothing could be farther from the truth. I understand that machines with IRS ride better, but a solid rear axle makes for MUCH better towing. I had a sportsman, when I put my woods trailer on it it was not a pretty site. I can put as much weight on the back of my prairie and not worry about loosing ground clearence or damaging rear suspension equipment.
When I think utility machine I thing raw power, low end torque. Hook up a log and drag it around all day. I want to be able to hook my winch up to something and tow it backwards without having a rev limiter or worrying about smoking a belt because of gearing.
this is not a Bash on any machine. Just if people are looking for a utility machine to do grunt work, my vote is for the Prairie.

GrizzJeeper-
I couldn't agree more-utility machine, low end grunt, huge rack capacity and SOLID AXLE!!! No IRS. For working purposes, carrying heavy weight and towing large loads, I'll take a strait axle any day over any IRS machine-don't care what make or model.
Best of Luck,
Mike
