Has anyone seen that Banshee in the Feb. issue of Dirtwheels? It is some crazy modified turbocharged banshee that did like 111mph in the 1/4 mile. That like Corvette speed! Talk about something to die on, this thing was unreal. It makes like 130 hp. and 70 ft.-lbs. of torque.

For $5600 it beter be fast, but look at the Trinity ad in the same issue. They have a stroker kit that did the 1/8 asphalt drag in 6.7 sec @97mph, while the HiPer Tech turbo Banshee did hit 111mph, its ET was 7.02 sec.

Of course they (HiPer Tech IIc) did this with a nearly stock motor (Vito's pistons, and overdrive tranny, +8" swingarm, fuel injected).

If any of you Banshee guys have $5600 sitting around, they offer a money back guarantee.

Walt, if you see this you might want to give them a call before July, hehe.

Jerry: I think I would be hung by my.... err. lets not go there<g> And why would I want a 130hp shee..... I know I will be MORE than happy with the 85-90hp from MacDizzy.. well maybe at least a month I will be happy. Then I will want a lil more
Look whos talkin.. You dont seem to be content with a 400 that kicked a few R tails and almost a 310(ps I think he is scared)

I am planning on going back to Glamis next year... wanna join me jerry??

Don't forget that 6.7 sec run was the 1/8 mile not the 1/4 mile.

I know. Here are the turbo Banshee ET/speeds, per DW...

1/8th asphalt: 7.02 sec@ 100mph
1/4th asphalt: 11.4 sec@ 111mph
300' sand: 4.28 sec@ 76mph

According to this, and Trinity's ad their 570cc stroker beat the HiPer turbo, in the 1/8 drag, for about $1700 less.

But how much more fuel did it burn? How hard was it to jet it corectly? How long will it last? Which is more to rebuild?

When did you guys get your new Dirtwheels? i haven't gotten mine yet!! By the way the Hiper Tech turbo/efi kit for the banshee is made but gp enginerring in Garden City, KS. Kevin Gigot(owner) put one on his Bnashee that he races at Pikes Peak and i got to ride it and it literary flies!!

i think u all are referring to the banshee in the magazine witht he green cylinders? if so i would definitely take it over any trinity bike simply because it is trinity!!!! and i wouldnt quite call it a death machine until u ride it i also dont believe any trinity add

Blue; its not the one your thinking of. This is a turbo kit that bolts up to a stock cylinder.
And, I hope my original post was'nt taken as a shot at the HiPer Banshee, I'm sure it's a rocket. I just saw the trinity ad, which claimed faster ET's, in the same issue and wanted to hear from some Banshee guys. So far I guess not many peop's care for Trinity's kits?
