How do you like the kit? If one follows the instructions, is jetting pretty close? Has anyone altered the recommended needle setting? Results? What kind of plug color are you getting? THanks!! Replies are much appreciated.

I have the Dynojet kit that came with new springs, needles, and plenty of jets all the way up to 150. The needles are in the recommended clip position and I am running 148/150 jets without most of the airbox lid and a White Brothers PowerFilter. I have the GYT-R carbon fiber tip and fairly stock headpipe. I am <3000 feet of elevation. Plug color is brownish, no hesitations anywhere.

I think the needles are key to keeping the engine performing perfectly across the entire RPM range. Not sure you can get it tuned quite as well just changing stock jets.

I just did the dynojet kit, the k&n filter and the big gun exhaust (complete). I am very happy. It runs great. I think the jetting is pretty darn close. I will be pulling the plug in the next couple days to check it out and see what I am doing. I believe I am jetted a little on the rich side. I used their reccomendation for the 3000-6000 ft altitude and I live at 6200 ft. I did this because I frequently ride here, but also ride alot in the 4000 ft range. I will know more when I pull the plug.

I am currently using the entire airbox lid. I did cut it, but I still have both peices in their place. I am going to be doing some experimenting and see where it runs the best.

I did have one problem, when I did the kit. I got it all done and then was running it in neutral and it was sputtering and popping and all kind of noises. I was not sure what was wrong. I called the dynojet number and he told me a couple of things, but said it sounded like the slides where not working right.

I pulled it apart and he was right on. I did not get the slides seated and they were not working right. I fixed it and it runs great.

I beleive I am at 144/146 jets.

the dynojet kit is great, I ride anywhere from 4000->8000" and rejet all the time for the conditions I will be in that day, stock directions will get you in the ballpark then it just depends on altitude, pipes, airfilter and airbox. first time jetting is a pain, but no big deal. do the kit
