more ccs on a wolverine

It's a little harder than just boring it. They take the top end of a 400 kodiak (older, air cooled version) and make it work with the wolverine's cases. They also use a stroker crank to get to the 500cc's. From what I've been told, this is not for the faint of heart. Be ready to shell out two grand or more to do it right. The big bore and stroker kits usaully get ya up to around 440cc's, anything bigger and you have to switch the top end. Alot of the top engine builders will not stroke the crank of a wolverine because of the extra weight of the clutches. I've heard that the weight will break the crank under hard use. Of coarse there's the manual clutch kits that do away with the weight and auto clutch setup. But then alot of people say it's very hard to keep it adjusted right. Micky told me that this motor was designed for all out racing, where tearing it down often is not a problem. But I'm sure he'll sell it to anyone with the dough.
