Its true. I installed the GYT-R slip-on plus the Pro Design foam filter kit, then took it to Dynojet here in Las Vegas where they jetted and Dynoed it for me. 42 HP is the outcome. I do believe Dynojet is a wonderful investment for anyone.

What did it cost to have them jet and Dyno your Raptor? Jetting can be such a pain, what a great solution, and with real, documented results, not just seat of the pants. I smell a road trip to Vegas....

What was the jetting they ended up with?

42 seems a tad on the low side.

How many times did they change jets / adjust needles in search of the most power? I have "read" that a slip on and dynojet chime in at mid-high 40's.

I usually see 45-48 with a slip on, jets and a cut air box. 42 is low.

Wow! So with those few mods you increase your hp from 35 to 48. Ummm, okay. Yeah, I drilled some holes in my AC 250's airbox and took the hp from 8.6 to 100 hp.

Corndog, You must be some back woods rocket scientist.

Stock Raptors hit 35-38hp by my observation. With a GYTR tip, needles, jets and the air box lid removed, I get 48 without a problem. Add a cam with the stock piston and 52+ is there. Perhaps you fail to understand that the Raptor is substantially restricted in stock form (perhaps because Yamaha does not want to sell something fast to someone like you -- for the safety of others). The horsepower gains are common knowledge and not wishful thinking.

Add a cam and 102mm piston with proper porting and you get over 60hp. Go with a 105mm piston and you easily get 70. Work on some carbs and cam specs and 75 is easy. Add a 4mm stroke and 80+ hp is reality.

Raptor720...Do you have to resleeve with the 102mm and 105mm piston? Is it safe to say that you are talking about a 680 and 720?
