I was wondering about the gear failure problem and had some questions.

Does anyone know if they indeed changed any parts mid production for 2001. If so what did they change? I ask, because I read in another forum that they changed a part number.

Is it possible to order the new parts for the 2002 raptor and change them out before a failure occurs? If so, what parts would have to be changed and can the parts be ordered yet or do we have to wait awhile?

I have had mine for about 2 months or so and not had any problem, but I would prefer to fix it before a problem occurs and takes other parts with it.

Any input or info on the subject would be appreciated.
