Any one have any input on the 2000 Big Bear?

Mine is just a 97 but i rode with a guy this past weekend that had a 00 model....he said he has had it for bout 4 months and tha breaks have already worn out on it but other than that it is one nice machine

 

Bought my 00' BB 4x4 in September and can't say enough good things about it. After reading many posts in this entertaining forum, I am ashamed to admit that I don't think it can hold it's own -vs- Max 6x6 though! Doh! lololololol!
Without intentions of offending any one fellow atv'er though, we are all modern day cowboys, whether we ride a 3 or 4 wheeler or 6x6.

Can you tell me more about the brake problem, or tell me how I can get in touch with the operator about it? Did yamaha warranty the repairs?

The rear brakes r drums on tha 00 and they just filled up with mud and stopped workin but tha pads on the front disc were worn out I dont know if he rides the breaks to cause them to wear out so fast but i havent a clue if they r covered under warrenty but i seriously doubt it....I have no working breaks on my bigbear as of now because the drums just fill up with mud and water to easily....I figured goin with disc up front on tha 00 model would stop that but i guess not....pdavis have ur breaks already worn out or are they showing signs of wear????

 

wow, my friend has had his since august and had no problems. the things a brut and has more than enough power but lacks speed.It only tops around 35-40, pretty slowy compared to my wolv. the machine is great for the trail and can go almost anywhere. plus it comes with a free warn winch. cant beat that!

ryant BOUGHT MY WIFE A 2000 BIGBEAR BUCKMASTERS it is hard to shift from reverce to neutral dealer says you need to rock it that does help also the first time she road it the right front fender broke!!! were not happy with this ATV at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Yeah I decided to upgrade to a Kodiak. Thanks for the input.

 

ryant you might want to look at the honda 450S or the ES i think youll get more for the money.I WANT HAVE ANOTHER YAMAHA!!!!!!!im thinking of making a boat anchor out of my wifes big bear!
