I just bought a new Kodiak and love it. My first atv. My question is. When I get going about 40 clicks I seem to get a vibration in my hands and feet. It does it whether I'm on hard pack or loose dirt. Would this bee caused by the new tires or that it's not broke in or am I just being perinoid? Its not unbareable but noticeable. If you have any take on this let me know. Like I said I've never owned one before now so I'm not sure what to think.

Hey neigbour.....well almost..... fellow canuk anyways!
I just got my 2001 Kodiak a week ago, my first atv as well.
I think you may be just feeling the tire lugs. Best thing to do is compare with another machine. I'll pay more attention to mine next time I ride on some smoother stuff.
Where do you ride down there? I ride crown land an hour east of Orillia.
Are you considering any modifications/add ons to your machine? I'm looking at a skid plate, hand guards etc.

If you have stock tires on it, then I wouldn't think it's the tire lugs. I'd say it's one of two things. 1)it's normal, and you're not used to how atv's handle 2) something is wrong with the front end, such as alignment. If that's the case, get it back to the dealer.

I'd suggest having someone that you know that has been in the sport for a while to take your quad for a quick test ride to see what they think.
