I have been looking through some of the archives in regards to the famous Raptor carb leaning problem. Do you advise on changing the pilots or do you advise on changing the idle mixture a 1/2 turn out ? Or both ? I had my carbs blow off once a while back and i shortened the spacer on the clamps, and pushed the airbox forward a little. I have never had the problem since. My valves were also set a little wrong because i was using the "T" not the "I" for the top dead center timing mark which was corrected after the incident. Should i readjust the mixture or just leave it alone ? Also i have a little bog at 3/4 throttle which is due to my Pro Flow filter kit i think. I plan on getting the K&N stage 2 shortly to correct the problem. Any ideas ?

Get the jet kit ASAP; it'san awesome mod. The instructions that will come with the jet kit will tell you to adjust the fuel mixture screws three turns out, which is richer than stock. However I'm also curious about increasing the pilots one size. I think slappie has a thread going right now with the same question. He already has the jet kit, but has a little bog. Comments, Raptech or Raptor720?
