The stock top speed is about 56mph.It will beat a 300ex stock and be able to keep up with a 400 but not beat it. If you get the 240 kit and other mods you mentioned you will smoke 400's, banshees and just about anything else that is stock. The Blaster is really great for motocross with it's small sze and maneuverability but not with the stock suspention. The stock shocks just dont hold up with hard mx riding. I really like my Blaster for trails and hillclimbing. So far there hasn't been a hill I didnt make it up.

Don't expect to beat a 300EX, or especially a 400EX with a $1200 Blaster. With 240 kit and suspension mods, you may be able to beat stock 300EX's and 400EX's, but you will have to be a very, very good rider. I admit, I have taken second place to a Blaster on my 400EX in MX.

Top speed of Blaster will be less than 60mph. Top speed of a 400EX is over 60. Don't know what the top speed of a 300EX is. A geared up 240 should be able to top 70 on flat or down hill.

stock vs. stock, you will have a slight advantage over the 300ex. this I know as a fact. but, anything large and you're going to need some serious mods to keep up with. and you wont SMOKE a 400ex nomatter what you do. and you definately aren't going to get near a banshee even if you do have all the mods in the world, and the banshee is stock. but the blaster is still an awesome quad for the money, do you know of any other qauds that beat competators up until 200cc's above them?

Stock you'll kick 300ex's butt's. With a 240 head and few other mods you'll beat just about anything that's stock. Its great for moto cross if you get a new suspension. The stock shocks suck for moto cross
