BANSHEE MODS?

I JUST BOUGHT A NEW BANSHEE AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS THE BEST PIPE AND SILENCER FOR IT??? FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS A BANSHEE COULD THEY LIST SOME OF THEIR MODS TO HELP GET AN IDEA OF WHAT I NEED AND WANT... THANKS...

i have a 99 banshee and i have a cool head on it ,boyesen reeds,reed spacers,fmf fatties,power core 2 silencers,unifilter,renthal handle bars,nerf bars, kill switch, itp holeshots on the front and turf tamers on the back and work shocks on front and back

i have only done a few.,,,,
1) shaved the head 50 th...
2) 1 over pro lite pistons
3) carbon tech reeds (stock valves)
4) reed spacers
5) fmf mid range pipes ( looking at pro circuit)
6)12 tooth sprocket

Pipe selection will depend on what you want the motor to do. For top end power with a harder to control powerband the leaders are going to be FMF Torque+ (or SST's if they're out yet), Toomey's, Paul Turner top end, LRD and Pro-Circuit. Frankly, they all are close enough that it won't matter. They're all within about 1 hp of each other, so the choice is yours. For woods riding it's basically either Dyno Port 2 into 1's or the Paul Turner midrange. But first and foremost - throw that stock filter away and get a pro-flow filter. The stock filter is junk and will allow sand and dust to enter the engine unless installed perfectly (which you can't tell once the airbox lid is on). Foam or K&N is your choice, I like foam. Unless you're riding in wet conditions, don't use the airbox lid. Get a 13 tooth countershaft sprocket - this adds some more bottom end that Banshee's desperately need. The rest will require engine work - head mod, porting etc. Get the head done by a reputable engine builder that does a lot of Banshee motors and tell them what kind of fuel you will be running. You don't want to be forced to run straight race fuel unless you're willing to pay the price. Don't just take the head to a machine shop and get it cut. That screws up the squish band and can cause detonation and possibly power loss. Also, high compression on these motors will require that your crank be welded. Stock Banshee cranks have been known to slip. It better to be safe than sorry, especially for less than $100.
It's not out of the question for a 350cc motor to make upwards of 65-70 hp, but it'll cost you about $2000 to get there.
