Hey I have a 2001 Raptor that probably has over 200 hours on it and lately my starter solenoid has been acting up. But that's not a the reseason im writing you all. Lately while im riding a howling will start now and then and i cant tell what it might be. I removed my starter to see if something was hanging up but didnt see anything. Does anyone have any ideas?? Do you think maybe my solenoid isn't disengaging my starter gears all the way and it's howling or what?? It'sdriving me nuts and I know if I bring it to Yamaha it'll be big $$ for them just to look at it. So if any of you have any ideas please tell me.

 

How about removing the starter and push starting it and see what it sounds like?
