Does anyone have this clutch kit? How does it work? I would like a clutch feel similar to the 400EX rather than the buttery feel of the Raptor. Do this kit's heavy duty springs accomplish that? How does it hold up.

Thanks

Yamaha factory FZR fibers just like the Banshee and factory plates. Just add 5 Barnett springs and you have the ability to hold 80+hp without fail.

Add a Hinson basket for good measure

720,
Will the FZR fibers slide right into the basket with no mods? How many do I need to get? Basically, what I am asking is what do I need to get from the dealer to make sure I am getting everything correct? Do I go up to the counter and order a clutch kit for an FZR-600, 1000, etc and expect everything to just go right in? Do I use the Raptor steel plates with FZR fibers or use the FZR plates too? How many fibers to order or do they come in a kit? I want to do this but need some info. Also, where did you get your Barnett springs. My dealer couldn't find any anywhere. Thanks a lot.

Ok, here is the deal. Although I have been accused of only favoring Bikeworx and Trinity Racing, I will direct you to ALBAaction.com for the clutch $145 for the kit with plates and springs. They sell the correct FXR fiber kit and springs in a package.

FYI, the Raptor uses 6 fibers (5Y1-16321-00-00), 2 fibers (5Y1-16331-01-00), and 7 plates (498-16325-00-00). That is the stock config. Note that the 5Y1-16331-01-00 fibers are the same as the fibers used in the Banshee and the 498-16325-00-00 plates are the ones also used in the Banshee.

The correct "wider" fibers used to upgrade the Banshee and Raptor are the FZR600 fibers (3xp-16321-00-00).

hey, i bought some fibers from my friend a while back that are for some streetbike, i have them in my alky banshee with 6 toomey springs and it holds up fine, although quite stiff. but thats what everyone else has been saying too, to get the streetbike clutches. so im guessin that i have fzr600 fibers in my banshee. now i think my clutch is slipping on my raptor and the same stuff will fit in it also? thanx
