Rear Rotor??
#1
I know alot of companies make oversized rotors. But I am wondering if it is possible to get an Undersized Rotor. I have a Warrior, and the stock rotor is huge. The size of the rotor takes away an inch+ of ground clearance. Does anyone know if it can be done?
I know that the caliper would have to be repositioned, and with the configuration of the stock setup, it looks like it would require some custom mods to the bearing carrier.
Has anyone tried this? Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

I know the rear rotor from a banshee will bolt right up to hub and its about 3/4 (1.5"? total diameter) inches smaller that stock warriors. If you can find out if the stock banshee carrier will work with a warrior swingarm you would be good there, both use the same caliper.
If you really want to get involved (read=$) and the ground clearances means that much to you you should look into the honda conversion. the chain adjustment alone is worth it.

Thanks for the reply. I never thought about using the Banshee stuff. Yeah, the Honda conversion is sweet, but too much $$$. It's probably worth it though. I just wonder if you can use a 250R style rear end as well- axle, rotor, anti-fade nut, etc???

Going to the round style housing(lonestar swing/carrier) on my banshee was one of the best things I did for Yamahas wonderful chain adjustment procedure.
Adjusting the chain is now effortless Can be done in about a minute.
