I believe J&E was bought out by wiseco, companies like white brothers will market j&e or wiseco under their name. currently I dont think there is enough info to judge who is better, just get the size you need. doing it all yourself unless you have a really complete shop is tough, I had the shop bore and hone the cylinder ($50) and do a polish and port (essential and expensive $250-$350), I think dirtwheels had a replace your own piston section in one of the last 2-3 issues with pictures, cam is a bit tough but definatly doable, if you have a good shop available see how much they want for part or all of the job, its worth checking out

 

The only way to make it faster is to sell it and buy a ds650. Oh, I'm sorry that's the bottle of Jack Daniels talking. LOL
