I bought a 98 banshee today and I was wondering what the best pipe is. Here's my guidelines:
1. Most look awesome and not discolor too bad
2. Most have good low end torque and top too
3. Most not be overly loud. Maybe a little louder than stock.

I here a lot of good things about the Toomy T5's. What's your opinion?

how about the LRD adjustables or FMF sst

 

From reading what your needs are i would say go for either FMF SST or FMF Fatties if money is an issue,both pipes will provide you with descent low end (compared to Toomey T5 wich have no low end at all just like all other mid/top end pipes) and a pretty good top end.

 

I have a 98 banshee with pro circuits they sound just like a dirt bike they have great power and they are cost less than most but there are many to pick from.

 

I just purchased a 02 Banshee and have been debating the same thing you are. I think I am going to get the FMF Fatty's. They have a MEAN top end and still have a decent lower and mid range.

And cost ALOT less...

 

wow i just scored a 98 shee almost like new for $1500, had to put a cdi and a stator , clutch cable and clean out the carbs(sat for two years) its bone stock and i love it, cant wait to hit the dunes, of course i want to throw some money into it to make it respectable, so pipes are first on my list, my shees black and yellow(gold wheels) so i was hoping to get gold pipes,ive heard good things about fmf, what about the gnarly series they make? i wish atv sport mag would do a pipe shoot out like they did with the 400ex,,,,

 

Try the "Dynoport" 2 into 1 pipe. It gives you a powerband that is as smooth as a 250r, but has the "rip" of a Banshee. And it will set you apart from the rest of the pack. In Sound,looks and Speed. It really is a great pipe.

 

I have Dynoport pipe on my dirt bike and that thing sounds sweet as hell and is pretty good as far as power, the guy i sold my banshee to put ProCurcuit platinums on it and it sounds real nice, and go with a ProCurcuit R-304 silencer. I heard that toomey pipes are really good but i don't no wat they give you so, if you get a FMF get a SST which gives you great over all enhancement or the Gnarly pipe that gives incredible power gains in low and mid-range.Hope that helps.
