Does anyone know how may turns out the fuel/air mixture screws are on a stock raptor. Thanks for any help you can give.

 

3 1/2 turns if you did not rejet.

 

ejones5, nix that last reply to your post! I counted the mixture screw turns recently when I rejetted the carbs. LH carb is 3 turns out. RH carb is 2-2.25 turns out. Those are your factory stock settings.

 

shop book say 3.5

 

Are they different for the '01 and '02?
Also I think I read somewhere that the shop manual is wrong because Yamaha was doing something different because of the carb boot problem (blow off). From what I remember it was the mix screw that they changed and this was done after the shop manual was put out.

Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
