Well I checked the compression last night and it was right at 97psi. I searched through the archive's but couldn't find any posts on what the stock compression should be. I also found that there is a decompression valve or pin, should I remove this when I tear the engine down over the winter?

ZRWHAT,

You have to do more than just pull the pin out. I can't remember the details but Raptor720 can fill you in. I think you have to grind the pin off so you maintain the oil flow.

The good thing about removing the decompression pin is that will not suffer from low RPM stalls. From what I hear, you will have no problem firing the Raptor up even without the decompression pin.

Thanks "NotuRaptor", I didn't think it would be that easy, but I might as well do it when I've got her torn down.
