I would say the 300ex, just because I had a 250x and it was a helluva woods machine.

man, I miss that bike

01TRX300EX,
Go back and read garyc660R post. Its going to be the rider. I would have to say in our woods the mighty Grizzly wouldn't stand even a chance against the lowly Recon.

I don't know what kind of woods you guys get to ride in,but up here in Montana our woods got steep hills and lots of rocks.Anything without four wheel drive isn't going to go to many places that I go.But if your talking about going around corners as fast as you can on fairly flat ground or rolling hills, the 300 would probally be pretty tough to beat.

Is it just me or is this crazy!!! This is like comparing a Z71 to a sports car. LOL!!! I could take my Warrior and roast my Prairie 650 in tight trails or fire roads then where there is no trail I could roast my Warrior with the 650. They both go fast but they both go fast in different places.I don't think I would like to go flying down a trail on my 650 trying to power slide around the corners, come on this thing weighs 600lbs with 25" tires. You are waiting for a crash if you ride a
big 4x4 like a sport 4-wheeler.
