Had the same problem. Took the headlight off and had a bunch crud(carbon) on the back of the bulb. Cleaned the bulb and the connector off(wire brush) and it works fine now. Hope this helps.

I had a similar problem but my headlight had a little moisture in it and corroded the wire and shorted them out. I kept blowing fuses and didn't know why until I found the wire right behind the headlight was burnt from the short I replaced the whole plug and cleaned of the rust with a wire blush and repainted the bare metal. I then silicone after it dried completely. That was the problem I got some water in the headlight and I thought I drained it out before I sealed it up but I guess I was wrong. So it held in the moisture and corroded the connection.

Same here. my problem had been going on for some time before i addressed it. it must have been shorting where the bulb makes actual contact to the post because, the contact melted. i replaced what was left of the Bulb and had to force a plastic ty-wrap behind the post to force it to make contact with the new bulb. eveything works fine now.

Yeah you have to take the light out of the bracket and then take off the back of it. Be careful when you pull the rubber boot back not to rip it.

I had the same problem- intermitent headlights- My problem was corroded plugs- just past the lights- I have since replaced both the stock headlights and plugs as both were prone to moisture damage.

I got some little 55W halogen driving lights from AutoZone. They work really well and look alot better than stock. They are much brighter and only cost $40. I beleive they are made by Pilot.

Did you use the stock mounting bracket or did you make a new one.
