I have a 88 Warrior. I am considering sellin my 88 to buy a newer Warrior.

I am thinking of buying Warrior with a 400 kit on it. I was wondering how much power they put out over a stock. Is TEAM ALBA the only company to make a 400 kit? Are there any other companies that make BIG-BORE kits for a Warrior? If so, how reliable are they and how much power do they put out over a stock. I will be puttin a 12-tooth sprocket (((they have 14 from factory))) on it.

I have a COBRA pipe on my 88 but it has more bark than bite. If I got the 400 kit i would either E-SERIES or an R-4 from WHITE BROTHERS which pipe is better???

If i do all this will I out run a 400ex. Or would I better off to spend a little bit more money and buy a 400ex???

I would just start out with 400CC with the EX.
You will have an awesome handling/motoX machine also.
Save a little more money, or clean your Warrior up AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE to get
the most out of it when you sell it. Ask high at first. If no one bites, lower the price gradually. In the mean time, save money.. when the bike sells, you will have enough money to buy a decent 400EX.

i talked to u about this already, but here i go..... i love a 400ex, thats what i plan on gettin, but like u said the other day, EVERYONE has a 400ex, granted there is a reason for that, but that is all you see anymore. building up your warrior would be great if you ask me cause you would have a quad that was diferent, plus i've always liked the idea of building a little machine to eat the big ones, and i understand where u r comin from cause i wish i woulda kept my 300ex and added a 330, or even 380 kit to it. i know that i could buy a 300ex and add the kit for less than the price of a 400ex and be able to eat the 400 alive, i dont know if the same applies to warriors cause i dont know kit prices and such for them, but if u can get a kit at a good price that is reliable, then i say go for it,, heck, you've already got the clutch for it! lol

I would just like to be different from everyone. the reason why i am doin this is because i want to be the one with the "LITTLE WARRIOR" that not only can run with the big boys but out run a few of them.

I think it would be cool to have a "SLEEPER" fourwheeler that everyone thought wasn't all that good but when they raced it, it would be a different story.

But still i might be better off to go with the 400ex in the long run. they are a really good bike and almost as cheap to modify as a warrior.

Powroll do a 400cc kit, HP is around 30HP and performs strongly.
Cost, icluding the head porting is around $1000 plus mark (stroker crank) is it worth it, depends how much you like your Warrior I guess, I sure enjoyed riding my buddy Daves 400 stroker at Oregon dunes recently and gave everyone absolute fits as to it's stealthy performance..........

You are a smart person. I feel the same way. Sick of everyone buying ex's, everywhere you look, that is what you see.

Anyway, I have a 96 warrior, bone stock. I had been looking towards modding it, until the cannondale's came out. Now i plan on getting one of those instead.

There are kits from Powroll, Four Stroke Tech, Alba, and from The Great Outdoor Store-not sure what there website is. I would look into the FST kit, as they have kits up to 500cc!!! If that's what you want.

Good Luck

hey ridgeracer, go with the bored warrior, i say you should go for the 500 kit,, after talkin to you bout this, and doin some thinkin, i think i might try to get another 300ex instead of a 400, and put in a 390 bore and stroke kit from FST, or the 352 bore and stroke kit from Poweroll, i dont wanna be the only SLEEPER on our rides this summer!

I just think it would be cool to have a bad Warrior. But like I said I may better off to go for the 400EX with a 416 kit.

I just really love the new Warriors and would like to sell mine to get one. I think a 400cc kit would give a 400EX a run for its money.

Has any of you used any of the 400 kits from team alba, if so how good are they. i would also like to see if any of you have run the R-4 from WHITE BROTHERS if so how good of a pipe is it????????what kind of kits does 4-stroke tech have how much are they??????what is thier web site??
