thanks to all raptor owners for speaking up. i guess all of us "stuck ups" should have asked all the honda owners if its ok that we stand by our machines. its obvious that anyone will stand by what they ride. the day i get smoked by a EX,i will retire my raptor... i guess i will be riding for a while. like my first post said, "you wanna haul ***, buy a yamaha!"

Meet with a little 400EX at any track situation, and you'll retire your Raptor.

I heard from my semi-pro freind that the Raptor was "over-motored" for its size. He said this was only true in TIGHT woods, which is where I ride. Do you think the Z400 will spank the 400EX in this situation?

I've road a warriar,300ex,400ex,and a blaster in the woods and on trails.I ride with these 4wheeler when I ride. They all are close on trails,it's when you hit the main road or a open spot where speed comes into play. That makes the differance.I have never road an atv I did'nt enjoy rideing.I love my RAPTOR and would not trade it for anything. But I picked the raptor because the fill when you sit on it.It has plenty of room and your knees do'nt hit the handal bar.The 300,400,and the warriar seem to be a over all better atv in the woods then the raptor ,but they just do'nt fill the same.

I do love my RAPTOR,but it's not for everyone.

i hear all the time how much better a 400ex or 300ex is for woods and tight trails. does anyone think this might be due in part that they have way less power . i mean the slower you are moving the easier it is to navigate tough terrain. i always thought my 400ex handled much better till i noticed my probems on my raptor and zilla was that they accelerate so much faster in tight places that it was harder to control them and keep them pointed in the right direction. where as the 400ex is much more mellow and gives me more time to react. thats just my opinion based on my personal experience though.

rapdaddy, jasper is about 3 hours from chattanooga and honestly there is only 1 descent place to ride around here and its about an hour and a half south of jasper in alabaster all of the other places have been closed down. all of my friends have been going to tennessee to ride this winter and i,ve not actually ridden in about 2 months. i really hate cold weather so it will probably be another month or so before i start again but your more than welcome to come down and check it out there are lots of challenging hillclimbs and trails in alabaster and i think it would be worth the trip. we always camp and there are no facilities it is just an old strip pit area but there are usually lots of people and we always have a good time. maybe you could even hook us up with some cool places in your area. we are always looking for new places too.

I agree with ZILLAMANINALA-The Quadzilla has to much friggin power!!.....heh heh.......BigAL400, if you do plan on leaving your new quad stock for about a year and can't wait for the Z400L, I'd hafta say go w/ the Raptor, that way you'll have more power to get used to and not get, well, bored, I guess (if there is such a thing on quads).
