Does anyone know of a cross reference bulb that I can pick up at an automotive store? I saw someone say that they paid $18 for a single new bulb, yamaha sells them for $9.99. I just thought someone might have purchased a bulb somewhere other than yamaha. I've also got condensation in the headlight assembly, I'm guessing that's what caused the bulb failure. Anybody know where the leak is? Thanks.

Try removing your bulb and cleaning the bulb and connection with some electrical cleaner. The assembly is'nt sealed, so corrosion and condensation is a problem. I would like to try some slightly more powerful bulbs......surely somebody has tried another more powerful bulb???

I'd have to agree Gary. I just haven't pulled the stock bulb out, its got to be a standard 12V bulb. I will pull it this evening and see if I can pick a replacement up at Napa or Autozone. I'll let you guys know, surely someone has already tried this?

The HID system would be nice, I waste a lot of money, but 500 bones on a pair of headlights, come on!

HID try HIH (high intensity heat) seems like the plastic would melt.

I can vouch for KingRaptor. He has the suprastore HID's. I saw them. They are bright, and I am too cheap so I have two 50W lamps instead.

Waaasup!

That is why I said it seems like the plastic would melt. These may be the best light since a Mag, they do look good in the picture and from what you say they work great. So sorry for the comment. I did not know that I wasn't allowed to speak my mind.

The HID's run cooler because they draw less wattage. My 50W lamps get realy HOT realy quick. I don't like the stock raptor light reflector shape so I hope suprastore comes out with a new design.
