Is there some reason that no pipe manufacturers are offering a twin pipe/silencer setup for the Raptor? Since we have 2 headpipes already couldnt each run to a different silencer? It would seem to be a better way to get a quieter Raptor pipe. 2 mufflers would definitely kill more sound. Is there an issue with a single cylinder machine using dual pipes/silencers?

There is a couple of companies that make dual exhaust for the raptor. But both the pipes come out on the same side. Theres a company thats called D&D racing if i remember right that advertizes in the ATV Sport mag that actually uses two silencers on the same side instead of one big one with dual outlets. They are not any quieter and not sure if the horsepower is any better.

Well, I just emailed them for info regarding sound output and dyno charts. It seems to be a sensible answer to the noise vs power output but their silencers look pretty small. I'd like to see a pipe out of each side that would run 2 silencers and maybe something like the toomey hush kit. The big problem is, as I see it there are NO legal aftermarket silencers that can be used at the Oregon Dunes. 93db is the limit. I'd get a tuneable pipe like the CT or white bros and get the sound down but I'm afraid I'd wind up with no power gain over stock.

early Husky 4 strokes used twin full sized mufflers, sound was good (low) and I suspect flow good, later models went to a single nuffler probably due to weight considerations...........

Twin muffs, one each side would grab some attention !!!
