Steering Stem Assem. For Raptor

Hey Guys,
I recently torn down my raptor to upgrade. I wondering about the assembly at the bottom of the steering stem. I pulled the seal off the top and now wondering about the hex shaped fixture below it. Im guessing its threaded in but im not sure. Does anyone know anything about them?
