Do you need to have a flage on your atv?
When at the sand dunes? Or is it good to have one all the time? O.K I would like to know if any ladies ride the dunes?
Not doubles, but on your own atv.

o you need flags on your atv, when in the sand?

women ride there own quads at kermit. Not a lot of them. Then again there is never very many people riding out there anyway. We all ride with flags, better safe than sorry.

Flags are required at ALL reputable Dune riding areas. Having a flag on your quad all the time is NOT required, but if you are a novice rider it's not a bad idea just make sure that you visible to everyone. Especially if you ride in larger groups. The last time I was a Silver Lake a girl T-Boned a guy and messed him up pretty bad.

VISIBILTY IS CRUCTIAL

It could be. It was around that date when it happened. It was a pretty bad deal. The bike was a wreck!! They took him out in an ambulance and his girl friend/wife was tring to pump up the tires in their truck to follow him to the hospital. It seems to me it was a 400EX (I could be wrong though) it was definantly a mess. I don't know who wasn't paying attention, I didn't see it happen. Everyone was saying that she hit him.

thanx greg, disregard the PM i sent ya,

It really scares the crap outta ya when you think that could have been you, know what i mean?

the flag didnt help much there, but there was alot of people there that week ( i was there on the 14th) most people ive ever seen there on a tuesday, and accidents do happen, i just hope that whoever's fault it was they recieved justice, if somebody wasn't paying attention than they need to never ride again (at least i never want to ride around them)

Who wants to get hurt or killed at the dunes?

1 vote for not I,

As far as the flags go, to me its cheap insurance, it doesn't guarantee people will see ya, but for $18 im not gonna take a chance (its required at Silver Lake any how)

Flags are required at glamis, and have saved my butt several times coming to the top of a dune. Also, all of the ladies that go with us ride. Some of them can ride as good or better than most of the guys. And in a full out drag race, the 110# ladies usually reap havoc on us 200#+ guys. HA!

If you buy a flag go ahead and get the full 10ft high flag. The shorter ones are hard to see when you are riding because they bend back.

Whether you are required to have a flag where you ride it is the smart thing to do... They can really save your butt.
