Pro design air filter for the Raptor
#1
I have a 2002 Raptor I want to put a pro design air filter on it with the alumunim bracket in the air box. My question is do you have to re-jet for that mod. Iam going to run it with the airbox lid on for now. I just dont like the stock set up but I really dont want to rejet my carbs for now. Thanks

Thanks for the info. I seen that in dirtwheels where they increased the horse power for 6 dollars that is a considerable amount when some other bikes are only getting that with full pipes and k&ns. They cut the hell out of the air box though if I would of did that tuesday I would of had a pound of mud in the air box. Is it that hard to rejet? I thought that I would get the pro-flow kit in first then rejet for pipe and air box. Thanks

Could someone give me the details of the jet mods from Dirtwheels?
I live in Australia and it is very hard to get any of the ATV mags as well as parts.
I want to rejet but want to get the right parts first, the nearest Yamaha dealer is 3-4 hrs away (I am in the middle of nowwhere).
I found a company that sells the Dynojet kit for Raptor but is is $200 Aus (about $105 US) which seems a bit pricey to me and the $6 dollar option sounds better to me. Do you think the Dynojet kit is worth it? Parts are VERY expensive here compared to the States.
Thanks

Actually, the Pro-Flow filter by itself does help throttle response, but more importantly, it secures the filter to the intake and it no longer depends on the airbox lid having a correct fit, as on the stock system. It is worth the piece of mind.
