I have asked my local yamaha dealer the same question quite awhile back and he said 12500. But In my opinion there is no rev limiter on the stock banshee other than the Tors and this just keeps the throtle from being stuck wide open(there are micro switches on the carbs that can tell when the slides are open. There is also a switch on the thumb throtle if the tors box reads that the slides are open and the thumb throtle isn't depressed it will cut the ignition) Usually the pipes on two strokes act somwhat as a governor. Some one correct me if I am wrong
