My banshee threw the chain for the previous owner and so it has always leaked a very small amount of oil. I am really fed up with it now and so I am going to get a new top case or both case halves. I went through my service manual last night and I had forgoten that they recommend replacing the case halves as a pair only.

Has anyone here ever just replaced one half? Where there any problems afterwards? Why do they recommend going with the pair only? Thanks for any information that you have!
