What do you guys get for a top speed out of your 600 Grizzly's?

All of you guys with 600 Grizzlies, what is you top speed? My speedometer only reads 57 mph when I'm on a dirt haul road, but I have to believe my speedometer is wrong. I paced my truck one day, and the driver had the window down and said he was going 25 mph, I was keeping an even pace with him, and my speedometer read 18 mph. I also question it, because I have read of several guys checking the top speed of their Blasters with GPS units, and most concurred that the top speed of the Blaster was around 58 mph. I have raced my cousin and a friend, cousin weighs 120 lbs. runs Blaster, friend weighs 180 lbs. runs 300 ex, and I weigh 175 lbs. on the Grizz of course. We raced on a dirt haul road, and I completely blow them away, they never even really contest me from start to finish, and we race for probably 1/2 a mile. All the machines are stock by the way. So what does everybody think, is my speedometer wrong, or is the top speed of the 600 Griz 55-60 mph?

Mine will go just over 55 according to the speedo, maybe 57. At that speed I generally watch the road and only quickly glance at the speedo. The roads that I top end on aren't really all that flat and wide, so a guy has to pay attention. But speedo's are notoriously inaccurate. So how fast I am really going I guess I couldn't say. It sure "feels" like 57 though!
The fastest I've ever had mine up to was 85! Unfortunately that was on the freeway in the back of my truck.

Yeah, I agree with the glancing part. I only glance at it too, and I am riding on roads that are flat and as wide as a 4 lane highway. I see you have a locked front end, how well does your Griz stear now? You obviously must think it is worth it, or else you wouldn't have it locked.

Speedo's are notoriously inacurate, but usually they read over, and not under, the actual speed.
57 or 58 sounds about right though.

Just last weekend we tested my buddies 660 Griz down a long straight road with a Garmin gecko GPS. We got 61.6 mph peak speed . My Vinson 500 auto got 59.3 mph peak. My DS650 Baja X got 81.9mph (17 tooth front srocket and Ron woods racing clutch springs). We also GPS'd a new 700 Prairie and got an amazing 67.8mph! The Best one of the day was an 03' tricked out Banshee that did 104.4 MPH!!!!!! NO BS!!!! I couldn't get much info out of the owner, but all the suspension and swing arm was stock. The engine looked pretty worked up.
