I bought my raptor on 2/23/02 and this machine is "awsome" !!! I can't beleive the amount of power, torque and speed that it has. The low end is unbelievable as well as the entire powerband!!!! I give the Yamaha team and the Raptor two thumbs up !!! You will not appreciate this machine until you climb on one and pound the snot out of it. It will definitely handle antything you throw at it. I am extremely impressed !!!!!

 

I cant wait until I get mine!!!!I am so excited.

 

you like it now just wait untill you do a few mods. like #1 the air box get the pro-deign kn filter and rejet its like a new machine again...

I traded in a 2001 lakota in good shape and was given 3,000 for it. The difference was 3,600 out the door with new helmet and free extended warranty for an additional three months.

I could have bought the 2001 with all the goodies already on it for 5,700 but I heard about the tranny problems and also the weak rear axle. Had to go with the 02' model. It's a pure adrenilin rush!!!!!!!!!

I even like my 01 with all the bad things added at no extra cost. You just got to love those freebies.
Really mine has been OK so far and the second to third gear with full power on is quite nice.

Ok guys just got back from Canada last night with my brands new 2002 raptor. WHAT A BEAUTY. to answer your question of what was paid, $5.375.oo usd. out the door. And I get all the taxes back by mail. About $350.oo.

It put about 750 miles on my truck but well worth the trip. especially considering we spent the night in Montreal----St.Catherine's Street----Dude there were these two girls on stage doing.........oops sorry. Oh well just spreading.<u>spreading</u>,oh my, the info. so you can save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ too.
