The biggest gain i got was from the st ids2 and the stock air filter. I noticed increase in bottom and top (about 2 - 3 mph). After installing the k&n filter and jet(that i need to fatten up), I noticed more in bottom and the top stayed about the same. These mods accomplished what i set out to do, smoke my 3 friends kodiaks (01, 02, 02 all stock). At the 50 yard mark, i was ahead of each by about 2 quad lengths. When top end was reached I kept pulling away from them slowly. I beleive the mods were worth it because they achieved what i wanted to do. Don't really know how the middle was affected as i only had the quad 2 or three weeks before the mods. You could also do a search for a previous thread in wich visa discussed some similiar mods he did to his Kodiak. It cost me $340 total, and I would do it again. Hope this helps.
