There is a lot of talk from people and mags on which is the best quad, most powerful, smoothest ride blah, blah, blah. I think the rags are just trying to promote sales on one bike or another. I think what it really boils down to is what is the best selling/ most popular. From observations in WV (the state with most ATV sales per capita) it is clearly the new Griz. All the dealers can barely keep them on the floor. If they get 10 in, 10 are sold in 2 weeks. It is amazing to me that they can't keep a $7k bike on the floor in such a relatively poor state. Of course, around here, many people's quads are worth more than their cars (not a stab, just an observation). You can not get much of a deal here either, the cheapest I've found is $6800.00 because demand exceeds supply. I would like to have one also, but I can't justify trading the Kodiak cause it has been such a good bike. What's your opinions on the subject??

That's pretty interesting , JHAM .Did you consider actual saes numbers , or just the fact that your local dealer doesn't have a Grizz in the showroom?I'm not saying your wrong, but can you back this up with actual #'s?

No, I don't have #'s. It is basically just an observation based on numerous conversations with several dealers and people in the know. One source is a dealer in Charleston, WV who carries all major brands, (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Polaris). He said the Griz is the hottest seller and again, cannot keep it on the floor. As mentioned, I don't have actual #'s, but that to me is a pretty strong indicator.

Yes, I would think the 650 would be the main contender.

If I had to guess what the most sold quad of all time was, I would say that it was the Honda 300 4x4

If we are talking most sold/ popular of all time than I think your right on with the Warrior and the Honda 300 4x4. There are a lot of them still running that are OLD. One might have to include the Buyou 220 and the Moto 4 in there as well.

i read in a mag that the warrior is the highest selling quad ever made! now, thats a statement twards that quad. other than that, i can see where the grizzly has sold like mad, along with the prarie. hell, i can see the new 700 polaris selling like mad too. to me, i would guess the grizzly and the prarie being real close to the same numbers. just a guess, but i could see the sportsman falling behind just due to the others being better sellers around the planet. i could also see the prarie selling the best in the western states, while the grizzly selling better in the eastern part of the country.
