How big of a tire can I put on without losing any lowend or having to modify for power lost...??????

I had a 99 Grizz with ITP Blackwater XT's. Don't remember the exact measurements, but something like 9x12x27 (f) and 12x12x27 (r). These drop the top end drastically. Almost a 10 mph drop.
Great in the mud and rock climbing...
