Recently DW ran a Raptor pipe shootout. All pipes tested seemed to be in the 102 to 105 dB range, if I remember correctly. However, the DG Alien was not part of the shootout. Anyone know what their sound rating is? I'd like to pipe mine, but the other aftermarkets I've heard have been really loud, and I don't want an extremely noisy machine....tends to annoy the neighbors!

 

It's DMC not DG. DG makes an X-cellerator series (simialer to fmf megamax).
I know DMC are loud pipes.

 

The loudest was 103 DB in the shootout. The DMC alien was not part of the shootout due to spark arrestors being a required part of the shoot out. The quietest was the Yoshimura at 100 DB. The Alien is open all the way out the silencer. I'd imagine it is loud. (very)

 

From what I have read, it is very loud. We need more manufacturers stepping up with quiet pipes.....
