Should I upgrade to a full system on my Raptor???

Syko,
I would recommend he wait until he breaks into the engine. You don't really need it if you aren't doing that work. He will get more HP / $ if he opens up the airbox, gets the pro flow flange and filter and jets it up.
My buddy has a stock headpipe, and a GYTR Carbon tip. We both have the Pro Flow flange, no lid and properly jetted. I slowly pull away from him. But before he did the airbox, filter and jets, I would roast him every time. Those mods make the biggest difference in combination with the slip on.
I don't know if the r-series is going to help that much as I haven't seen one in action. The GYTR really rocks.
But to answer KCRaptor's question, you will gain a little bit. But you will gain more if you do the lid, filter, flange, and jet it properly. It should come alive, more dramatically than if you just did the head pipe, that I'm sure of. Once you go into the motor, you may need to change the head pipe.

I am running a K&N right now with a jet kit in it. Right now it's jetted about perfect. I want to up the mains and get rid of the air box lid. I am just wondering if I take the lid off and up my mains, if it will be as good as a Pro Flow kit. I also want to know if it is necessary to get the Pro Flow kit or if I can just get clamp on K&N's????

Another opinion:
Stick with a foam filter. White Brothers makes the PowerFilter ($24.95) which flows more than the Raptor engine can handle. You will need to keep the front 2" of the lid though to lock the filter in place if you go this route.
