Any advice on how to put a digital tach. on a raptor?, and what brand would you suggest?

How much is the final price of the entire thing. And where is there any pictures of it and how hard to install?

 

You would think that if this was a good product that would fit a Raptor or any quad they would post a GOOD picture of it at their web site! Not one that looks like they used a fax machine to scan it in?

 

i got my tach/hour meter from yamaha its a yamaha product cost about 45 bucks for the good one. just one wire to hook up. i only use the hour meter for service..

Vmax12 do you know where I can see a pic of the meter that you bought? What are all the features of your unit and is there a model # ? I do remember seeing one on the net that just fit on the bar near the key, it looked almost like factory. Now I can't find it on the net, but it was about $75.

 

ok, go to yamaha's web then the atv page click on accessories. then go to specialties then go to shop maintanance page 5 they have 3 hour/tach that you can see.

oops. sorry just 2 meters the deluxe has tach thats what i have...

 

I've also got the yamaha tach, the same company makes the yamaha tach. I mounted my tach to the fuel tank cover and ran the trigger wire down through the plastic. The tach is pretty much useless other than to tell idle speed and I suppose if you are cruising at a steady speed. The tach does not instantly change with the motor speed, there is a lag. Just FYI.
