2002 big bear 400 4x4

anybody have or know anything on this machine? i have a yamaha timberwolf 2x4 but its not big enough. i need a machine for hunting (to haul out my monster buck), farm work, and just muddin on the trails. i read a few articles on the big bear and it sounds good. just wondering if u guys have any info on it?

I have riddin one. It seems like a good quad and I have never heard anything bad about them. It has fairly good power and is real quiet. It also has a good price, but have you checked on a Kodiac. If you don't mind the automatic then you should ride one before you make a choice.

i was hoping for a 5 speed auto clutch- they come in that dont they?

yes, the big bears are 5 speeed auto clutch. My cousin had a 2001 bigbear and liked it. He traded it in for a scrambler 500 4x4 though, i guess he has the need for speed.

It has a lot of low end torque, just no top end. Sounds like thats what you are looking for though.
