14mins,
If you are referring to the front shocks there is a small set screw on the top adjusting collar. Use a 3mm allen wrench to loosen the screw. You'll only need to loosen it a couple of turns. Use a piece of round stock approx. .200 in the holes next to the set screws to turn the collar. You could use a phillips head screwdriver or something similar, but be careful, you don't want to #@*%! up the collar on your new shocks. Also it's a good idea to put a jack stand under the front of the frame so there is no weight on the front susp. When your done turning the collar be careful tightening the set screw. Just tighten enough to snug up the set screw. You don't have to make it real tight. If you are referring to the rear shock just use a GOOD quality spanner wrench.

Raptormxr- I just went and checked the front shocks. I do not see the set screw you are refering to. They have a metal cap that looks like it can be turned. I have 10 threads showing, would like to have 7. I picked these up used along with a 2 plus 2 axcel, 2 yamaha rims and radial tires (90% tread) and a gyrt skid plate for 550. Could not pass up. They were valved for my weight.

Actually, no one is supposed to be the cheapest. It is a part of Elka's dealer's agreement that the dealers commit to sell for Elka's listed retail price. I know this, because I am an Elka dealer. That being said, this agreement doesn't stop shops from charging retail prices for Elkas, AND offering something like, say, internet coupons ... If anyone has any questions, feel free to email me. info@GoOffRoad.com
We can discuss the Dealers agreement, and maybe work something out that works for you!
Oh... By the way... Out of all the shocks out there, I have a set of Elka Triple Rate, Remote Reservoir, Compression Adjustable Shocks, with the Self Sagging Device (zero preload) on the front of my raptor. I LOVE THEM!!! I have mine valved for MX riding (cause I race) and it's amazing how much more forgiving these shocks are when you don't land the jump perfectly! These shocks have saved my life!!!!!
