What Gear ratio are you guys running on your 02 Raptors for the dunes?
For racing up the bowl 1st is to low and 2nd is to tall....

is a 3.5 gear ratio where I wanna be or what?

 

I plan on going for the frist time this comeing weakend.I was told to run a 12t on front and 41t on back.

 

Ya ok cool let me know what you think.... I am running just stock... I think thats 13 Front and 40 Rear.

When I would drag up the bowl from a stand still if I was in first I would just wheelie over...
So I would start out in 2nd gear and it would bog a little at first. I want it to freaking rip from second gear without no bog....

I think i'm gonna drop to a 12 in the front and try that before I start and mess with the rear.
the 02 tranny gear are diff then the 01 so not sure where I need to be.

A 12 front and 41 rear would be a 3.42 gear ratio
