In and out of 4x4 kit??

A buddy of mine has a 01 Big Bear but wants it to be in and out of 4-wheel drive. Is there any kit available to do this?? I know the 02's are 2x4/4x4 but the 01's are pretty hard to steer. Any input appreciated.
